Job Description

The Role: Responsible for delivering high-quality products and enhancements to clients, consistently within time-to-market deadlines. This position will specifically be responsible for defining features and stories as well as their success criteria in the TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications) space. The Product Owner will also prioritize requirements based on client feedback, needs, and workflows. He/she will also collaborate with Commercial and Product teams to craft effective stories, capture customer feedback, and participate in product demos. The successful candidate will act as the voice of the customer for the product vision and ensure that clients’ needs shape product decisions across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the establishment and management of rigorous processes and for the frequent, reliable, and consistent release of new products within the TMT business unit at S&P Global.
  • Represent clients’ interests in the delivery of new product implementation and ongoing product management initiatives
  • Create and maintain relationships and responsibilities with Product Management, Customers, Commercial Business Owners, and other stakeholders
  • Define and prioritize features, and user stories in the backlog, providing clear articulation for team planning, estimation, and sequencing
  • Work closely with the UX/Design teams to define and design new projects/products
  • Works with the team to agree on accepted story completion, including validating that the story meets acceptance criteria, that it has the appropriate acceptance tests, and complies with the Definition of Done (DoD)

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of work experience
  • At least 3 years of Agile experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience within Technology, Media & Telecommunications products a plus
  • The mindset that encourages collaboration, self-organization, accountability, and a drive to deliver high-quality products
  • Values collaborative teamwork analysis, design, and execution for a high-impact product, project, or process initiatives
  • Demonstrates technical and financial aptitude and has knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
